GoHighLevel & SEO

GoHighLevel doesn’t do SEO. Here’s what to do about it.

You can run an entire agency inside HighLevel — CRM, funnels, automations, calls, invoicing. Then you get to SEO and fall out of the platform entirely.

What GoHighLevel actually gives you

Credit where it’s due. On funnels and sites HighLevel hosts, you can set a page title, a meta description, a URL slug and a social preview image. For a landing page, that is genuinely most of what matters on-page.

What there isn’t:

  • No site audit — nothing checks speed, headings, structured data, security headers or broken links
  • No rank tracking — no way to see where a client sits for the terms they care about
  • No Search Console or Analytics integration — the real Google data lives somewhere else entirely
  • No SEO reporting — nothing client-ready comes out of the box
  • Nothing at all for sites HighLevel doesn’t host, which is most client websites

That last one catches people out. A large share of agency clients are on WordPress, Wix or something a previous developer built. HighLevel can’t see those pages at all.

The workarounds

What agencies do instead, and what it costs them

A second tool and a lot of copying

Run Semrush or Ahrefs separately, export the numbers, rebuild them in a report. It works. It also means the SEO story lives away from the CRM where the client conversation happens, and it’s stale the moment you send it.

An embedded dashboard

Iframe a third-party dashboard into a custom menu link. Better than nothing, but the client sees another company’s branding and it knows nothing about your CRM — no contacts, no opportunities, no context.

Quietly not doing it

The most common one, and nobody advertises it. SEO gets sold, invoiced, and then measured by whether the client complains. It works until a client asks what changed.

The alternative

SEO that runs inside the CRM you already use.

Ospry Suite installs as a GoHighLevel marketplace app. Client scores, audits and reports appear in the sidebar, next to the contacts and opportunities they belong to.

It audits any website, not just the ones HighLevel hosts — so the client on WordPress is covered the same as the one on a funnel.

Search Console and Analytics connect per client, on a read-only grant that takes about thirty seconds and never expires. There is no Google login to manage and nothing to reconnect later.

Weighing it against something else? We have written honest comparisons with Hike SEO and SearchAtlas, both of which say when you should buy theirs instead.

The thing nobody in the HighLevel world is checking yet

A growing share of local enquiries now start with somebody asking an assistant rather than typing into Google. Those assistants fetch pages using their own crawlers, and a lot of client websites quietly refuse them.

We checked one landscaping site that served 3,015 words to a visitor and a 403 error to every AI assistant. The owner had no idea, because their own browser always showed them the working version.

No SEO tool in the HighLevel ecosystem reports this. It runs on every Ospry audit as standard. More on how AI search actually works.
